We took our annual trip to the zoo and Syd was way more in to it this year. It was so fun to watch her. The Hephants (elephants) were her favorite. She was running around to all the cages saying "Look at this thing!" So cute!

She got to ride the carousel and the train, "Like Thomas!"

Other than that we've just been playing outside a lot. She's been terrified of the pool this year so we haven't that often. She gets to go over to Great Grandma "Carsents" (Carsons) almost every Thursday. She loves it there, she gets to see Mo Mo the dog and Mama kitty and play with my cousins little girl Kate, they're so cute together:) She's been saying some pretty funny things lately... like after throwing a fit or being naughty she says "I'm so sorry mama." How can I not forgive that? The other day when we were leaving my mom's she said "I wanna drive home" if she wants to drive already, we're in trouble. If you say excuse you she used to say "Scuse me, I burped." now she just shouts back "Scuse YOUUU!"

I can't believe my sweet little baby girl is gonna be 2 next month! We had a photo shoot last week and I think the pics turned out pretty darn cute, good job bff!:)

I titled this "Uh, no" because that seems to be Syd's answer to everything these days! She has a mind of her own, that's for sure and is a little smartie pants:) She's starting to put together some pretty long sentences, this is our convo the other day...

Me: Should we get your new stroller and go for a walk?
Syd: Go get it out of the tar?
Me: Yeah, what color is Mommy's car?
Syd: Red
Me: What color is Grandma's car?
Syd: White
Me: What color is Papa's truck?
Syd: Red
Me: What color is Trent's car?
Syd: Black
Me: What color is Chelsea's car?
Syd: White

All of which are correct, I was a little surprised that she knew all of them! She's pretty much a genius. She knows her shapes pretty well, she knows her birthday is in "Ju-wyy" She also calls turbo "Stupid Turbo" thanks to Ryan. Ryan has a week off and we are excited to get some stuff done around the house and put up Syd new swing set! We'll try and sneak in a little fun too. I got my pool pass for Lindon pool so we'll be hangin there a lot this summer:) Here's some photos for your enjoyment.

I can't believe Christmas is this week! We had a party on Sunday and have another one on Wednesday, It's definitely starting to feel more like Christmas. I think we could use a little more snow though. For my work party we went tubing up at Soldier Hollow, they wouldn't let Syd go down but she was fine just playing in the snow at the bottom of the hill. By the time we went inside her cheeks were bright red and nose running but she still fought to stay outside. She looked so cute in her little snow suit:) We haven't gone to sit on Santa's lap yet because when we were at dinner awhile ago there was a Santa there and he was extra loud and jolly and scared the crap out of Syd and I'm pretty sure traumatized her for life. Chelsea made some awesome cards for us, I have some to hand out but probably won't be mailing any out.

Well, we're back from Mexico! Me and Ryan haven't been on a trip with just each other for a looong time. We just tried to relax as much as possible. Ate, drank, slept, layed on the beach, got a massage, took a boat ride to Isla Mujeres, did some shopping down town. It was just what we needed. Now we're back and ready for the holiday season!

We missed Syd sooo much! The cold weather on the other hand, not so much. The day after we got back we bundled up and went for a walk to the park. Good times.

Last weekend we had an "end of summer party" at my parents house, it was loads of fun! The weather was perfect, there was tons of delicious food, friends and even a live band! Syd and the other kids had a blast dancing and it was very entertaining to watch. She is such a cool little girl, she absolutely LOVED the live music! She has some pretty awesome dance moves too, must get it from her mommy:) I didn't get any pics from the party but here are some I snapped of her being adorable.

Here's what we've been up to.... Took Syd on her first camping trip, it was only for the day but we had a blast! Took her to the zoo for the first time, she LOVES animals. Watched the movie " The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland" like, a million times. It's Syds favorite, she points at the tv and says alma alma (that's Elmo). She is growing up way too fast! She only wants to go up and down the stairs like a big person. She's starting to say some words, throw some fits, me and Ryan have a lot on our hands... in a good way. Me and Ryan had our five year anniversary! He surprised me and got off work early and took me to dinner:) We are celebrating more in November, taking a trip to MEXICO! Me and Chels are going to Vegas again at the end of Sept. trying to make it an annual thing. I'm super excited!

Syds party turned out AWESOME! It might have been extremely hot and muggy, but that's ok. It was a "tea party" theme, sort of. We had mostly finger foods and Chelsea made some super cute flower arrangements in these little tea cups.... Great setting, good food, family and friends, it couldn't have been any better:)

I can't believe my little babe is 1 already! It is kind of sad:( but so much fun to watch her grow and learn! We had her party yesterday, it was a lot of work but it turned out really well, those pics will be coming soon. It's crazy how much love you can have for one tiny little person:)A year ago today.

Almost Summer Fun...

It was nice to get some sun for this summer solstice and fathers day weekend! Me and some of the girls at work decided to have "pool hopping Fridays" in the summer but this last Friday was the first time we've actually been able to do it because of the crazy Seattle-like weather. We had so much fun and so did the kids. I've taken Syd a few other times and she absolutely loves the water! She has no fear what so ever, it's kinda scary. Later that night we went over to Melissa's and hung out, without the kids. We went rollerblading (and razor scootering) in the dark, it was a blast! Ryan had to work on Fathers Day of course but he got to spend a little time with us in the morning. He got some new jeans (which look SO good on him!) and Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii (which I beat him at!) He claims it was because I was playing on an easier setting, but whatev:) I hope he had a good first Fathers Day because he is such an awesome Dad and me and Syd love him sooooo much!

The other night me and Syd were at dinner with my fam. She hadn't slept very much that day and was starting to get a little silly. We started singing patty cake to her and she was pulling the weirdest and funniest faces I've ever seen her make! She had all of us in tears and the more we laughed, the more faces she would make. She was totally putting on a show for us, what a funny little girl:) But of course when I try to take pictures of her doing it, she stops, but here are a few anyway...

Memorial Day Weekend BBQ!

We had a bbq, it was fun! Even though our husbands went golfing and were supposed to be home by three and didn't get there until four.... jerks. We played horse shoes and had smores, it doesn't get any better than that:) It was a good weekend and I get to go to a concert tonight and Ryan actually gets to come!

The other day Syd was very ornery but did NOT want to take a nap. Ryan put her down anyway crying and fighting it, well he went outside to grab something and came back in to hear no crying. He went up by the door to check on her and heard her jabbering away to herself and giggling so he peeked in and there she was, standing in her crib with a big smile on her face, the little turd:) That was the first time she stood up in her crib by herself, now she is trying to pull herself up wherever she can and crawling all over and scaring her dad to death:) Ryan was actually off on Easter, which is surprising. We had an awesome day, Syd got to tear apart her Easter basket and she loved that, she likes to destroy things, we call her destruc-tor, clever I know. She got an Early Easter from Grandma Auxier, a basket full of goodies and a new dress! Thanks Grandma. We went to my moms and Syd got to play with the puppies, or should I say torment. She likes to stalk them in her walker and then when she gets about four feet away she goes really fast and tries to run them over, it's pretty funny to watch, she had us all cracking up:) She is also the biggest camera ham I know, me and my mom both had our cameras out to take pictures and she was just smiling and posing, she LOVES the camera! We played some whiffle ball and catch and had my grandparents over for dinner. Good times. Easter Morn

Syd Stuff

So a little over a week ago when we went to pick up Syd, my Dad told us that she was taking giant high steps with her right leg and we didn't think anything of it, it just looked funny. Then throughout the next few days we noticed that she tried not to put pressure on it and when you touched it she would get fussy. We finally narrowed it down to her ankle and Whitney was all worried about it because she works for a doctor and said that there was a little boy that was acting kinda the same way and he broke both the bones in his leg. That was on Sunday so on Monday she got us an appointment, I had to work so Ryan took her in. He brought her to my work after with a tiny little hot pink cast on her lower leg, it made me want to cry:( She had broken one of the bones at the tip of her tibia down by her ankle. She was happy as a clam though, the cast doesn't even phase her, what a brave little girl:) She has to have it on for three weeks, bathing her is kind of a pain but I think it will go by fast. These pics are from the day she got it put on.

Syd has now figured out that if she holds up turbos toy, he will play with her! It is so cute! They were playing the other day for quite a while so I snapped some pics:)

I love Christmas time! I got some new decorations for the tree this year and I love them! Our friend Jade had the annual tacky sweater Christmas party at his house this year. We found some pretty awesome sweaters, we looked good:) Sydney loves the lights and wrapping paper, we could just give her a roll of it and she'd be fine. I can't wait for Christmas eve!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was fun this year. Ryan worked, as usual, so we didn't eat until about 7:00 but it was worth the wait. I just played games with my family and hung out most of the day. Last year my Mom made some tofurkey, I'm kind of glad she forgot to get it this time because no turkey is better than tofurkey:) She did make some delicious berry pies though and I got to do one of them so I made a peace pie! We had a good Halloween. Sydney was a bunny and the costume that we thought would never fit, was too tight! We went to Grandmas houses and she got to play with Noah and Ellie. She got a little mad towards the end of the day, probably because her costume was hot and too small:) But overall it was fun. Me and Ryan even got to sneak away for a little bit and go to our friends party and play some rock band! Good Times.

So... I'm really bad at keeping up on this. Since the last post, me and Chelsea went to Vegas and it was loads of fun! We just relaxed by the pool and shopped most of the time, it was good times but I missed Syd:( When we got back my mom had bought her one of those jumpers that hangs in the doorway. She didn't know what to think about it at first but now she loves it! It's a good way to keep her occupied for a little while. She doesn't quite know how to jump yet but she's so cute in it. She does these tiny little jumps and kind of spins in circles, it's entertaining for all of us:) I hate that it snowed already, it kinda makes me want to barf but Sydney thought it was pretty cool, she stared out the window in awe for like, five minutes. Anyway, here are some pics, I'll try not to make it so long next time.

My bff Chelsea took some super cute family pictures awhile ago so I'm finally posting a few of them. The other pictures are just Sydney being cute. I can't believe how big she's getting and how much she's changing! We're having so much fun with her! She has her two month check up tomorrow and it's gone by so fast, kind of sad :( She is smiling a lot and has the cutest little dimples! She totally copies you when you stick your tongue out at her, it's freakin adorable! She also likes to go shopping already, especially at target, maybe because her mommy goes there way to often :) We can't wait to see what she's going to do next!

We got to go see the Nine Inch Nails last night and it was AMAZING! We've seen them before so we knew we were in for a treat but I think they outdid themselves this time :) I would have paid just for the light show, it was sooo good. Mr. Reznor is an amazing artist and he's so passionate about his music. He puts everything he has into every performance and I love it! I would see them every day if I could and I highly recommend going to a show if you get the chance. We had to leave Sydney at grandmas, she's still a little young for NIN, maybe next time though:) It was a good night and I'm super excited for this weekend, it's going to be very eventful. My BFF is getting married and I'm so happy for her and Brandon and then me and Ryan are totally going to crash their honeymoon.....good times.

So me and Ryan just celebrated our four year anniversary on the 14th of August. He surprised me with a sweet new camera! He had wrapped it and put it on the drivers seat of my car hoping I would come across it, and I didn't even get in it that day. It was pretty funny, he kept calling me and saying things like, "you should go somewhere, you seem bored." Finally, at about 9:30 at night I got a text that said, maybe you should GO LOOK IN YOUR CAR! And I found my camera:) here are some pictures we took playing around with it.

Finally, a week past her due date, Sydney decided to come and say hello:) She was born on Sunday, July 13th at 12:47 a.m., 7lbs, 3oz and 19 inches long, she is perfect in every way! But how couldn't she be with us as parents, right? :) Here are a few pics....

Here are some pics of the nursery. Nine months ago this room had balloon wallpaper and blue carpet, it was really pretty. It took us awhile but I think it's finally ready! It's a good thing too because she'll be here Monday if not sooner:)
